"Tetris" trailer uploaded on YouTube!

DarkJoke Studios releases new video!

DarkJoke Studios is extremely proud to bring you a brand new video - a trailer for the highest-selling video game of all time: Tetris. This was mainly a test of the new software we are working with, and never intended to be published, but we felt that it was good enough to release to the public. It was created using the Pinnacle Studio 12 editing software, and can be viewed here:

We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did creating it.

Latest news: New videos, new software, new possibilites.

We here at DarkJoke Studios are proud to announce two new projects we are working on. The first is a retro-style trailer for the original "Tetris" game, showcasing the game's popularity and simplistic yet addictive gameplay. The other project is a DragonBall Z animated music video depicting the Goku vs Frieza fight on Namek.

These two projects are simple videos designed to get us acquainted and familiarized with our new software. We have previously been using Pinnacle Studio 9, which was outdated by about five years. We've upgraded to Pinnacle Studio 12 and have also purchased Sony Vegas 8 for additional editing and encoding options. We urge you to be patient with us while we get familiar with the new programs, and once we gain mastery over them, the possibilities we have with this software are endless. Studio 12 and Vegas 8 offer way more editing options, including multi-track audio levels, an extremely high amount of video effects that we have to get to know, and much more.

We have been invited to showcase our AMVs at Momo-Con 2009, in downtown Atlanta, Georgia on the weekend of March 14-15, 2009. We will have plenty of videos done by then, but only the finest will make it to our audience. We thank you for your confidence and support!

OLDER VIDEOS UPLOADED TO OUR YOUTUBE PAGE

DARKJOKE STUDIOS UPLOADS OLDER MONTAGES AND MACHINIMAS TO YOUTUBE

DarkJoke Studios is proud to present to you a few samples of what you can expect from us every time we upload a video. Now, these Halo 2 machinimas were filmed and edited in early 2005, almost four years ago, when Joey (half of DJS) began tinkering with editing programs and machinima making. The editing tools and experience Joey had were limited at the time, but we still think that these videos are great representations of the skill of our team.

Welcome to DarkJoke Studios!

Welcome to DarkJoke Studios.

Welcome to our blog. We at DarkJoke Studios are devoting our time to create high quality AMVs and machinima projects. For those of you who are new to the AMV/machinima scene, you may not be familiar with what these terms mean. An AMV is an animated music video, made with scenes from an anime or other source set to background music. A machinima is making a movie or feature-length film using a video game as the media.

As stated before, we are dedicated to bringing our viewers and fans high quality products, and rest assured that we will not upload a video unless we are happy with it. A video will not leave our computers until we are 100% satisfied with it, and until we are, the film will never see the Internet. We are committed to this pledge, and we hope you enjoy our films.
